    SEE ALSO...

TMEM184B Antibody (A-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TMEM184B of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TMEM184B (A-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TMEM184B, also known as FM08, HS5O6A, or C22orf5, is a 407 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein that plays a crucial role in activating the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathway, which is essential for various cellular processes, including growth, differentiation, and response to stress. TMEM184B is encoded on human chromosome 22, a region associated with several genetic disorders, including Phelan-McDermid syndrome and neurofibromatosis type 2. Mutations in genes on chromosome 22 can contribute to autism and schizophrenia development, highlighting TMEM184B′s importance in neurodevelopmental processes. Translocations involving chromosome 22 can lead to Philadelphia Chromosome formation, resulting in BCR-Abl fusion protein production, a significant driver of cell proliferation in various leukemias.
