    SEE ALSO...

TMED1 Antibody (F-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TMED1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TMED1 (F-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TMED1, also known as transmembrane emp24 protein transport domain containing 1, ST2L, Il1rl1l, or IL1RL1LG, is a 227 amino acid protein that belongs to the EMP24/GP25L family and is characterized by a single-pass type I membrane structure, which includes a GOLD domain. The GOLD domain, consisting of approximately 90 to 150 amino acids, is crucial for mediating protein-protein interactions and is involved in the dynamics of the Golgi apparatus. This domain facilitates interactions with lipid, sterol, or fatty acid domains, as well as with the RUN domain, which connects to cytoskeletal filaments, highlighting TMED1′s significant role in protein trafficking and cellular organization. The TMED1 gene is located on human chromosome 19, a region known for its high gene density, containing around 1,400 genes within over 63 million bases. Understanding the function and interactions of TMED1 is vital, as TMED1 plays a key role in the transport and processing of proteins, which are essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to various physiological stimuli.
