SEE ALSO...

TLR9 Antibody (26C593) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TLR9 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and flow cytometry (FCM). TLR9 (26C593) antibody is available in a non-conjugated form, allowing for versatile applications in various experimental settings. TLR9 plays a crucial role in the innate immune system by recognizing specific unmethylated CpG motifs found in bacterial and viral DNA, which is essential for initiating an immune response. This recognition triggers the activation of signaling pathways that lead to the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, thereby enhancing the host′s ability to combat infections. TLR9 is predominantly located in immune cells such as dendritic cells and B cells, particularly in the spleen, lymph nodes, and bone marrow, where TLR9 acts as a sentinel for pathogen detection. The strategic localization of TLR9 in these immune-rich tissues underscores TLR9′s importance in orchestrating the body′s defense mechanisms against pathogens. By utilizing anti-TLR9 antibody (26C593) in research, scientists can gain valuable insights into the immune response and the role of TLR9 in various diseases, including autoimmune disorders and infections.

I used this antibody for WB. It gives two bands of 100 and 150. Why is that?

Asked by: Aleh
Thank you for your question. The molecular weight for the TLR9 protein can vary quite a bit as the unglycosylated form can run as low as 100-110kDa, and the glycosylated form can run as high as 150-160kDa. If you need further assistance, please contact technical service directly.
