TLR1 Antibody (GD2.F4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects TLR1 in human samples through applications such as immunofluorescence (IF) and flow cytometry (FCM). TLR1, a member of the Toll-like receptor (TLR) family, plays a crucial role in the innate immune response by recognizing pathogen-associated molecular patterns, which is essential for initiating inflammatory responses and activating adaptive immunity. Located primarily on the surface of immune cells such as macrophages and dendritic cells, TLR1 is integral to the detection of bacterial lipoproteins and other microbial components, leading to the activation of downstream signaling pathways, including the NFκB pathway. This activation is vital for the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, which help orchestrate the immune response against infections. TLR1 is characterized by its type I transmembrane structure, featuring an extracellular domain rich in leucine repeats that facilitate ligand binding, and a cytoplasmic Toll/IL-1R-like domain that is crucial for signal transduction. TLR1′s ability to form heterodimers with TLR2 enhances its functional capacity, allowing for a broader recognition of diverse pathogens. With its significant role in immune surveillance and response, TLR1 serves as a key target for research into immune-related diseases and therapeutic interventions.
