    SEE ALSO...

TLE5 Antibody (C-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects TLE5 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TLE5 (C-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TLE5, also known as AES (amino-terminal enhancer of split), GRG, or ESP1, is a 197 amino acid nuclear protein that plays a crucial role in the Notch signaling pathway, which is essential for regulating cellular interactions that determine cell fate in both vertebrates and invertebrates. TLE5 functions primarily as a transcriptional repressor, either as a homooligomer or in complex with other TLE family members, thereby inhibiting the expression of target genes involved in cell differentiation. TLE5 can also repress NFκB-regulated gene expression, highlighting its importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and differentiation processes. TLE5 expression is predominantly observed in fetal brain, liver, lung, heart, and kidney tissues, as well as in adult muscle, indicating its significant role during development and in adult tissue function. Two isoforms of TLE5 arise from alternative splicing, which may contribute to its functional diversity and regulatory mechanisms in various biological contexts.

How much sample do you recommend loading on the gel for Western blot detection using TLE5 (C-7): sc-515756?

    Asked by: Randy McDonald
We recommend loading 40–60 µg whole cell lysate, 10–20 µg nuclear extract, 5-10 µg transfected lysate, or 10–20 ng purified protein per lane. A link to our complete Western blotting protocol is provided here for your reference: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
