    SEE ALSO...

TIP30 Antibody (F-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TIP30 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TIP30 (F-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TIP30 protein, also known as HTATIP2 or CC3, is a 30 kDa HIV-1 TAT-interacting protein that plays a crucial role as an oxidoreductase and tumor suppressor. TIP30 function is vital in metabolic suppression, inhibition of angiogenesis, and induction of apoptosis, making TIP30 a significant player in cancer biology. TIP30 is predominantly located in the cytoplasm and nucleus, where TIP30 interacts with various proteins, including the estrogen receptor alpha (ERα) coactivator NCoA-5, thereby regulating c-Myc transcription in response to estrogen signaling. When TIP30 is overexpressed, TIP30 represses c-Myc transcription mediated by ERα, while TIP30 deficiency leads to increased c-Myc transcription, highlighting TIP30′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis. Additionally, TIP30 enhances the transcriptional activity of HIV-1 TAT by phosphorylating RNA polymerase II, linking TIP30 to viral pathogenesis. Defects in TIP30 have been associated with hepatocellular carcinomas and apoptotic-resistant tumor cells, suggesting TIP30′s potential as a therapeutic target in cancer treatment.
