SEE ALSO...

TIMP-3 Antibody (B-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects TIMP-3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TIMP-3 antibody (B-2) is available as a non-conjugated format. TIMP-3 protein plays a crucial role in regulating extracellular matrix remodeling and inhibits various metalloproteinases, including collagenases and gelatinases, which are involved in tissue degradation and repair processes. This inhibition maintains tissue integrity and prevents excessive matrix degradation, which can lead to pathological conditions such as fibrosis and cancer metastasis. TIMP-3 is unique among tissue inhibitors of metalloproteinases as the only member secreted and found in the nucleus, suggesting a potential role in regulating gene expression and cellular signaling pathways. TIMP-3 expression is particularly important in tissues undergoing remodeling, such as during wound healing and tumor progression, where TIMP-3 may influence cancer cell invasive potential.
