SEE ALSO...

TIMMDC1 Antibody (G-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TIMMDC1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TIMMDC1 (G-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TIMMDC1 protein, also known as translocase of inner mitochondrial membrane domain-containing protein 1, Protein M5-14, or chromosome 3 open reading frame 1, is a 285 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein located in the inner mitochondrial membrane, where TIMMDC1 plays a crucial role in mitochondrial function. TIMMDC1 localization is vital as TIMMDC1 is involved in the assembly of the membrane arm of mitochondrial respiratory complex I, which is essential for coupling electron transfer to proton translocation, ultimately driving ATP production through ATP synthase as part of the electron transport chain. TIMMDC1 expression is significantly elevated in heart and skeletal muscle tissues, as well as in lung carcinoma cells, where TIMMDC1 depletion has been linked to reduced cell migration and proliferation, highlighting TIMMDC1′s potential role in cancer biology. TIMMDC1 gene is evolutionarily conserved across various species, including chimpanzees, Rhesus monkeys, dogs, cows, mice, rats, chickens, zebrafish, and Drosophila, underscoring TIMMDC1′s fundamental importance in cellular processes.

What blocking solution should I use with TIMMDC1 (G-10): sc-514927 monoclonal antibody for Western blot?

Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. We recommend blocking with Blotto (either TBS Blotto A: sc-2333 or TBS Blotto B: sc-2335). Our Western blot protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
