    SEE ALSO...

TIMMDC1 Antibody (F-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects TIMMDC1 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TIMMDC1, also known as Protein M5-14 or C3orf1, is a 285 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein located in the inner mitochondrial membrane, where TIMMDC1 plays a crucial role in the assembly and function of mitochondrial respiratory complex I. This complex is essential for cellular energy production, as complex I couples electron transfer to proton translocation, ultimately driving ATP synthesis via ATP synthase. TIMMDC1 depletion has been linked to impaired cell migration and proliferation in lung carcinoma cells, highlighting TIMMDC1′s potential role in cancer biology. Additionally, the TIMMDC1 gene is highly conserved across various species, including chimpanzees, Rhesus monkeys, dogs, cows, mice, rats, chickens, zebrafish, and Drosophila, indicating TIMMDC1′s fundamental importance in cellular processes. With TIMMDC1′s ability to facilitate the assembly of complex I, anti-TIMMDC1 antibody (F-1) serves as a valuable tool for researchers investigating mitochondrial function and its implications in health and disease.
