    SEE ALSO...

Tim10 Antibody (C-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 52-71 of Tim10 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Tim10 monoclonal antibody (C-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Tim10 plays a crucial role in the import of nuclear-encoded precursor proteins into mitochondria, specifically through involvement in Tim protein complexes that facilitate protein translocation across mitochondrial inner membrane. Tim protein family is essential for mitochondrial function and remains highly conserved across eukaryotic species. Defects in these proteins have been linked to various neurodegenerative diseases, highlighting their importance in cellular health and development. Tim10, located on human chromosome 11q12.1-q12.3, forms heteromeric complexes with Tim9 and Tim12, with Tim9-Tim10 complex playing a significant role in Tim23 import, a key protein in mitochondrial biogenesis. Tim10 and Tim23 interaction is critical, as Tim23′s carboxy-terminal domain contains necessary targeting signals for import, underscoring Tim10′s importance in mitochondrial dynamics and cellular energy metabolism. These features highlight anti-Tim10 antibody (C-7) value as a resource for studying mitochondrial protein import and implications in cellular energy regulation and neurodegenerative diseases.
