SEE ALSO...

TIA-1 Antibody (G-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TIA-1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TIA-1 Antibody (G-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TIA-1 protein is crucial for regulating apoptosis and is primarily located in the granules of cytotoxic lymphocytes, where TIA-1 plays a significant role in the immune response by promoting the death of infected or cancerous cells. This localization allows TIA-1 to effectively mediate the elimination of cells that pose a threat to the organism, maintaining cellular homeostasis and preventing the proliferation of potentially harmful cells. TIA-1 and TIAR, which is predominantly found in the nucleus, share structural similarities, including three RNA recognition motifs, but distinct cellular localizations suggest specialized functions in the regulation of gene expression and apoptosis. TIA-1′s ability to interact with various RNA molecules further underscores TIA-1′s importance in post-transcriptional regulation, making TIA-1 a key player in the cellular response to stress and the modulation of immune functions.

Hi, we want to use this TIA-1 antibody to do IF staining on mouse brain tissue. Could you please give me some information about the dilution ratio of the primary antibody and secondary antibody? what secondary antibody did you use? Thanks! Jianjun

Asked by: Jianjun
Thank you for your question. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50 for this TIA-1 antibody for immunofluorescence use. You can find the recommended protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining You can use any anti-mouse secondary antibody. We highly recommend using our optimized mouse IgG binding proteins, you can find them here: https://www.scbt.com/browse/Secondary-Antibodies/_/N-1hoaxk4

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This antibody does not work for ICC or IFI tried this sample antibody for ICC and IF using HEK239T cells and mouse brain sections. I tried different dilutions (1:50-1:500) and different block buffers (milk, serum and commercial block buffers). Unfortunately, I did not get any specific staining.
