SEE ALSO...

TI-VAMP Antibody (E-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects TI-VAMP of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TI-VAMP (E-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TI-VAMP, also known as tetanus insensitive VAMP, is a type IV membrane protein that plays a crucial role in the exocytosis process, which is essential for neurotransmitter release and other cellular secretions. Located at the apical plasma membrane, TI-VAMP forms a SNARE complex with cellubrevin, facilitating the fusion of vesicles with target membranes. This interaction is vital for maintaining proper cellular communication and function, as TI-VAMP ensures that vesicles containing important signaling molecules are accurately delivered to their intended locations. Notably, TI-VAMP is resistant to clostridial neurotoxins, which distinguishes TI-VAMP from other VAMPs and highlights TI-VAMP′s significance in synaptic transmission and cellular signaling pathways.
