Thymidine Kinase Antibody (C-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Thymidine Kinase (TK1) of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TK1 antibody (C-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TK1 is a crucial enzyme that plays a significant role in DNA synthesis by catalyzing the phosphorylation of deoxythymidine, which is essential for the incorporation of deoxythymidine into DNA strands. This function is particularly important during cell proliferation, as TK1 levels rise in anticipation of cell division, making TK1 a valuable biomarker for assessing cellular growth and malignancy.
