TH-POK Antibody (A-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TH-POK protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TH-POK (A-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TH-POK, also known as T-helper-inducing POZ/Krüppel-like factor, zinc finger protein 67 (ZFP67), or Krüppel-related zinc finger protein cKrox, is a 539 amino acid protein characterized by one BTB (POZ) domain and four C2H2-type zinc fingers. TH-POK is primarily localized in the nucleus, where TH-POK plays a crucial role in regulating the lineage commitment of immature T-cell precursors. TH-POK directs positively selected thymocytes toward the CD4 lineage; without TH-POK, these cells default to the CD8 lineage, which is vital for maintaining the balance of T-cell populations in the immune system. TH-POK also acts as a transcriptional repressor for several genes, including COL1A1, COL1A2, and fibronectin, further underscoring TH-POK′s significance in T-cell development and function.
