TGIF2 Antibody (G-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TGIF2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TGIF2 (G-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TGIF2, also known as TGFβ-induced factor homeobox 2, is a member of the TALE/TGIF homeobox family and is predominantly expressed in the kidney, heart, and testis, where TGIF2 plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression. Localized in the nucleus, TGIF2 contains a homeobox DNA-binding domain that allows TGIF2 to function as a transcriptional repressor. TGIF2 is particularly important because TGIF2 interacts with histone deacetylases, such as HDAC1, and the transcriptional modulator Smad3, thereby mediating the repression of TGFβ-responsive genes. Dysregulation of TGIF2 has been implicated in various developmental disorders, including holoprosencephaly, which is characterized by the incomplete separation of the forebrain. Furthermore, TGIF2 has been found to be overexpressed in certain ovarian cancers, indicating TGIF2′s potential involvement in tumorigenesis.
