SEE ALSO...

TGFβ RII Antibody (C-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody specifically designed to detect the transforming growth factor beta receptor type II (TGFβ RII), also known as TGFBR2, across human, mouse, and rat species. TGFβ RII monoclonal antibody (C-4) targets the full-length human TGFβ RII protein, encompassing amino acids 1-567, and is effective in various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TGFβ RII is a critical transmembrane protein that plays a pivotal role in the TGFβ signaling pathway, which regulates numerous cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. By binding to TGFβ ligands, TGFβ RII initiates the phosphorylation of type I receptors, thereby activating downstream Smad proteins that modulate gene expression. This signaling pathway is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and has significant implications in developmental biology, immune regulation, and cancer progression. Dysregulation of TGFβ RII function is associated with various diseases, including fibrosis, autoimmune disorders, and tumor metastasis, highlighting its importance as a therapeutic target. anti-TGFβ RII antibody (C-4) is available in both non-conjugated and conjugated forms, such as horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and Alexa Fluor® variants, providing versatile options for researchers. Additionally, TGFβ RII (C-4) antibody is suitable for detecting both isoforms of TGFβ RII, which arise from alternative splicing and are encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 3. TGFβ RII monoclonal antibody (C-4) supports advancements in understanding and targeting the TGFβ signaling axis in various biological and pathological contexts.

Can I use TGFb RII Antibody (C-4): sc-17791 mouse monoclonal antibody for immunohistochemical staining of mouse tissue?

Asked by: sweetums
Yes. We recommend using a directly conjugated monoclonal antibody. NCAM (123C3): sc-7326 monoclonal antibody is available directly conjugated to either HRP (sc-17791 HRP), phycoerythrin (sc-17791 PE), fluorescein (sc-17791 FITC), Alexa Fluor® 488 (sc-17791 AF488), Alexa Fluor® 647 (sc-17791 AF647).

Is it possible to use the AC conjugated TGFb RII Antibody (C-4): sc-17791 in both Western Blot and IP?

Asked by: sweetums
Thank you for your inquiry. We do not recommend the use of the AC conjugated form in Western blot. The AC conjugated form of the antibody is specifically used for IP. The unconjugated form of the antibody is the best choice when working in multiple applications.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not recognizing the correct bandI tested the free antibody sample from Santa Cruz with my TGFb RII wild type and knockout cell lysate. Unfortunately, this antibody did not recognize TGFb RII. Even though there were multiple bands on the blot, none of them show difference between WT and KO samples.
