TGase4 Antibody (E-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TGase4 protein of mouse origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TGase4 (E-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TGase4, also known as transglutaminase-4 or TGM4, plays a crucial role in forming cross-linked cell envelope (CE) in terminally differentiating mammalian epidermal cells. This CE, a vital component of the epidermis, forms through transglutaminases′ action, which catalyze isopeptide bond formation by cross-linking glutamine and lysine residues in substrate proteins. CE presence maintains structural integrity and barrier function of skin, protecting against environmental insults and preventing water loss. Additionally, TGase4 expression occurs specifically in prostate tissue, highlighting potential significance in prostate biology and pathology. With influence on various biological processes, including cell differentiation and apoptosis, anti-TGase4 antibody (E-9) serves as a valuable tool for researchers investigating transglutaminases′ roles in health and disease.
