TFIIE-β Antibody (A-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects TFIIE-beta of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TFIIE-beta antibody (A-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TFIIE-beta plays a crucial role in transcription initiation, functioning as a key component of the transcription factor complex that interacts with RNA polymerase II. This interaction enables accurate and efficient transcription of protein-coding genes, as TFIIE-beta helps stabilize the transcription machinery at the promoter region. TFIIE-beta′s structure, consisting of two subunits forming a heterotetramer (α2β2), is essential for optimal transcription levels. By facilitating transcription complex assembly, TFIIE-beta ensures proper regulation of gene expression, making TFIIE-beta a critical factor in cellular function and development.

When should the TransCruz reagent sc-137000 X be used instead of the standard form sc-137000?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. This form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.
