SEE ALSO...

TES Antibody (G-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TES protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TES (G-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TES protein, also known as Testin, plays a crucial role in cellular adhesion and signaling, as TES localizes at cell-cell contacts and along actin stress fibers. This localization is vital for maintaining tissue architecture and regulating cell motility, which is particularly important in processes such as wound healing and cancer metastasis. TES interacts with several cytoskeletal proteins, including Zyxin, Mena, VASP, Talin, and Actin, and TES′s ability to associate with α-actinin, paxillin, and Zyxin is influenced by conformational state. Notably, TES contains three LIM zinc-binding domains, which are essential for TES′s function as a potential tumor suppressor. Overexpression of TES has been linked to increased cell spreading and decreased cell motility, highlighting TES′s significance in cellular dynamics and tumor biology.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-271184 P appropriate for?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
