TERE1 Antibody (H-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TERE1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TERE1 (H-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Transitional epithelial response protein 1 (TERE1), also known as UbiA prenyltransferase domain containing protein 1 (UBIAD1), is a member of the UbiA prenyltransferase family and plays a crucial role in cellular processes, particularly in cancer progression. TERE1 is involved in the biosynthesis of important molecules, including coenzyme Q, which is vital for mitochondrial function and energy production. A deficiency in TERE1 has been linked to the progression of prostate and bladder cancers, highlighting TERE1′s significance as a potential biomarker and therapeutic target. Notably, TERE1 expression is reduced in prostate carcinoma, and TERE1 levels are often lost in metastatic cases, indicating a potential role in tumor suppression. TERE1 is a multi-pass membrane protein that is ubiquitously expressed, with detectable levels in the cytoplasm and nucleus, and TERE1 transcripts are present in various normal human tissues, including the urothelium, further underscoring biological importance.
