TDG Antibody (D-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TDG protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TDG (D-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TDG protein plays a crucial role in DNA repair by correcting G/T mismatches that arise from the hydrolytic deamination of 5-methylcytosine to thymine, which is vital for maintaining genomic stability and preventing mutations. Located primarily in the nucleus, TDG not only repairs these mismatches but also interacts with retinoic acid receptors, enhancing their ability to bind to response elements, thereby influencing gene expression.
