SEE ALSO...

Tctex5 Antibody (D-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Tctex5 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Tctex5 antibody (D-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Tctex5, also known as PPP1R11 (protein phosphatase 1, regulatory (inhibitor) subunit 11), HCGV, or TCTE5, is a 126 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role as an inhibitor of protein phosphatase 1 (PP1), which is essential for regulating various cellular processes, including cell division, metabolism, and signal transduction. The inhibition of PP1 by Tctex5 helps maintain the balance of phosphorylation states within cells, thereby influencing numerous signaling pathways that affect cell growth and differentiation. Tctex5 exhibits 87% sequence similarity with its mouse counterpart, indicating evolutionary conservation across species such as rat, cow, dog, and rabbit. The gene encoding Tctex5 is located on human chromosome 6, a region associated with several genetic disorders, including early onset intestinal cancer and various neurodegenerative diseases. Understanding Tctex5′s function and regulatory role in cellular signaling pathways is vital for elucidating potential implications in cancer susceptibility and other diseases linked to chromosome 6.
