Tctex2 Antibody (H-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Tctex2 protein of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Tctex2 (H-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Tctex2, or t-complex testis expressed 2, plays a crucial role in the transmission ratio distortion phenomenon associated with the mouse t haplotype, where chromosomes of heterozygous +/t males are preferentially transmitted to over 95% of their offspring. This phenomenon is linked to dysfunction of both inner and outer dynein arms of flagella, which are essential for sperm motility. Tctex2 functions as a light chain of outer arm dynein, and Tctex2 phosphorylation state may influence sperm motility, highlighting its importance in reproductive success. Additionally, Tctex2 is localized to sperm tail, where Tctex2 is involved in assembly and function of dynein complex, making Tctex2 a critical component for effective sperm movement and fertility.
