TCF-3 Antibody (E-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TCF-3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TCF-3 (E-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TCF-3, a member of the TCF/LEF family of transcription factors, plays a crucial role in the regulation of gene expression during developmental processes, particularly in the central nervous system and lymphoid cell development. TCF-3 mediates the transcriptional response to Wnt signaling, which is essential for cell proliferation and differentiation. TCF-3 contains a high mobility group (HMG) box that facilitates DNA binding, allowing regulation of Wnt target genes. The adenomatous polyposis coli (APC) tumor suppressor protein tightly controls TCF-3 activity by phosphorylating β-catenin, leading to its degradation and inhibiting TCF-mediated transcription. Mutations in the APC gene can disrupt this pathway and are associated with colorectal cancer, highlighting TCF-3′s importance in both normal development and tumorigenesis.
