SEE ALSO...

TBCK Antibody (WW-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects TBCK protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TBCK antibody (WW-8) is available as the non-conjugated form. TBCK protein, also known as TBC domain-containing protein kinase-like protein, TBCKL, or MGC16169 in humans, and A630047E20Rik in mice, consists of 893 amino acids and belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. TBCK (WW-8) antibody recognizes a crucial protein involved in cellular signaling pathways, particularly in regulating small GTPases, which are essential for various cellular processes including growth, differentiation, and vesicle trafficking. A Rab-GAP TBC domain within TBCK facilitates Rab proteins inactivation, influencing intracellular transport and communication. TBCK contains a protein kinase domain and a rhodanese domain, potentially involved in sulfur group transfer, highlighting its multifaceted role in cellular metabolism. Four isoforms of TBCK arise from alternative splicing, allowing for functional diversity in activity. TBCK gene is located on human chromosome 4q24, a region containing nearly 900 genes and associated with various genetic disorders, including Huntington′s disease and achondroplasia. TBCK monoclonal antibody (WW-8) effectively detects this important protein, making this reagent valuable for studying its role in health and disease.

I am using TBCK (WW-8): sc-81865 for immunofluorescence, what dilution of this antibody should I use?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunofluorescence protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
