TAZ Antibody (D-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TAZ in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TAZ (D-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The transcriptional co-activator with PDZ-binding motif (TAZ) plays a crucial role in cellular signaling and gene expression regulation, acting as a bridge between the plasma membrane and nucleus. TAZ interacts with the 14-3-3 protein family, which is essential for regulating various cellular processes such as differentiation, cell cycle progression, and apoptosis. The binding of 14-3-3 proteins to TAZ depends on phosphorylation of a specific serine residue (Serine 89), which modulates TAZ′s transcriptional co-activation capabilities and facilitates nuclear export, influencing gene expression outcomes. Anti-TAZ antibody (D-8) effectively recognizes immunoreactive protein bands in lysates from MDCK, NIH-3T3, and 293T cells, and works well with COS7, Hep G2, CHO, and HeLa cells expressing endogenous TAZ. TAZ functions as a transcriptional co-activator by binding to the PPXY motif on transcription factors, highlighting its significance in cellular signaling pathways and regulatory mechanisms in health and disease.

Hello!!! What are the conditions you used for Western blot in A549 samples with this antibody? Did you dilute the Ab in BSA or milk? Did you block with milk?

Asked by: Anastasia
Thank you for your question. You can find our recommended protocol that our labs use for western blot under this link: https://www.scbt.com/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting For blocking purposes UltraCruz® Blocking Reagent: sc-516214 is used.
