    SEE ALSO...

TAPP2 Antibody (A-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects TAPP2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TAPP2 antibody (A-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The Tandem PH (pleckstrin homology) domain-containing protein 2 (TAPP2) is a crucial cytoplasmic adaptor protein that plays a significant role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly in immune responses. TAPP2 is primarily located in the cytoplasm, with highest expression levels found in heart and kidney tissues, which underscores TAPP2′s importance in maintaining cellular functions in these vital organs. Upon stimulation by growth factors and activation of phosphoinositide 3-kinase, TAPP2 translocates to the plasma membrane, where TAPP2 accumulates in F-actin-rich membrane ruffles, facilitating critical interactions with phosphatidylinositol 3,4-bisphosphate through its C-terminal PH domain. This localization is essential for TAPP2′s role in regulating B and T cell activation, as TAPP2 enhances NFAT-dependent transcriptional activation and sustains calcium signaling during immune responses. The modulation of TAPP2 activity by Fc gamma receptor II and SHIP further highlights TAPP2′s regulatory functions in immune cell signaling, making TAPP2 a vital component in the orchestration of adaptive immunity.

Can TAPP2 (A-7): sc-166351 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

    Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. Yes, TAPP2 (A-7): sc-166351 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
