Datasheets
  • TAP1 Antibody (D-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 κ, cited in 1 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 695-724 at the C-terminus of TAP1 of mouse origin
  • recommended for detection of all TAP1 isoforms of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • Anti-TAP1 Antibody (D-11) is available conjugated to agarose for IP; HRP for WB, IHC(P) and ELISA; and to either phycoerythrin or FITC for IF, IHC(P) and FCM
  • also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 488, Alexa Fluor® 546, Alexa Fluor® 594 or Alexa Fluor® 647 for WB (RGB), IF, IHC(P) and FCM, and for use with RGB fluorescent imaging systems, such as iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
  • also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 680 or Alexa Fluor® 790 for WB (NIR), IF and FCM; for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR®Odyssey®, iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for TAP1 Antibody (D-11) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with TAP1 Antibody (D-11) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

TAP1 Antibody (D-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects TAP1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TAP1 (D-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The transporter associated with antigen processing (TAP) plays a crucial role in the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I antigen-presenting pathway, which is essential for the immune response. TAP1, along with TAP2, forms a dimer that creates a translocation pore within the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) membranes, facilitating the movement of peptides from the cytosol into the ER lumen for MHC class I presentation. The structure of TAP1 includes an N-terminal transmembrane region that contributes to the formation of the transmembrane pore, a cytoplasmic peptide-binding pocket, and several C-terminal nucleotide-binding domains that are vital for ATP binding and hydrolysis. These structural features enable TAP to undergo conformational changes necessary for the effective transport of peptides, thereby influencing the overall efficiency of antigen presentation and the subsequent activation of T cells in the immune system.
