SEE ALSO...

TANC2 Antibody (D-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TANC2 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TANC2 (D-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TANC2, also known as tetratricopeptide repeat, ankyrin repeat and coiled-coil domain-containing protein 2, is a large 1,990 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cellular signaling and protein-protein interactions, particularly in neuronal development and synaptic function. TANC2′s structure includes eleven ankyrin repeats and three tetratricopeptide repeats, which are essential for mediating interactions with other proteins, thereby influencing various cellular processes. TANC2 is encoded on human chromosome 17q23.3, a region associated with key tumor suppressor genes such as p53 and BRCA1, both vital for maintaining genomic stability and preventing tumorigenesis. TANC2′s interactions with specific proteins involved in these pathways highlights its potential importance in cancer biology and neurodevelopmental disorders, making anti-TANC2 antibody (D-11) a valuable tool for researchers studying these critical areas.

What blocking solution should I use with TANC2 (D-11): sc-515710 monoclonal antibody for Western blot?

Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your question. We recommend blocking with Blotto (either TBS Blotto A: sc-2333 or TBS Blotto B: sc-2335). Our Western blot protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting

Rated 1 out of 5 by from TANC2 doesn't workThis antibody doesn't work. Looks like, we got a bad batch or old one...No bands at all..

Rated 4 out of 5 by from worked pretty wellI received this antibody sample and tested for western blotting with postsynaptic density proteins purified from neonatal mouse brain, it worked pretty with just 3ug of protein loading on the gels. There are two bands, and the upper one should be TANC2.
