TACC1 Antibody (E-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TACC1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TACC1 (E-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TACC1, or transforming acidic coiled coil gene 1, plays a crucial role in cell division and is implicated in breast tumorigenesis, as TACC1 is located on the 8p11 chromosomal region, which is amplified in approximately 15% of breast tumor samples. The significance of TACC1′s location is underscored by proximity to the FGFR1 gene, which is often overexpressed in breast cancer, suggesting a potential interplay between these proteins in promoting tumor growth. The TACC family, which includes TACC1, TACC2, and TACC3, shares functional similarities with fibroblast growth factor receptors (FGFRs), indicating a conserved mechanism in regulating cell growth and differentiation. TACC1 features a conserved C-terminal region akin to its Drosophila homolog, D-TACC, which is essential for normal spindle function, highlighting TACC1′s importance in maintaining proper cellular architecture during mitosis. TACC1′s interaction with centrosomes and microtubules further emphasizes a critical role in the cell cycle and potential as a target for therapeutic intervention in cancer.
