T Cell Marker Antibody (KEN-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the T Cell Marker protein of rabbit origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). T Cell Marker (KEN-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. T cells, which are a crucial component of the immune system, are primarily responsible for cell-mediated immunity and are characterized by the presence of the T cell receptor (TCR) on their surface. The TCR is essential for recognizing antigens presented by other cells, which is vital for initiating an immune response. T cells originate in the bone marrow and undergo maturation in the thymus before circulating to peripheral lymphoid tissues such as the spleen, tonsils, and lymph nodes. The presence of pan T cell markers, including CD2, CD3, CD5, and CD7, is critical for identifying mature T cells, with CD2 and CD3 being the most specific markers. Notably, the expression of these markers can vary in different pathological conditions, such as the downregulation of CD7 in acute infectious mononucleosis and the unique expression patterns observed in Sezary syndrome, a type of T cell lymphoma. The versatility of T Cell Marker (KEN-5) monoclonal antibody in various applications makes this product an invaluable tool for researchers studying T cell biology and related immunological processes.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with T Cell Marker (KEN-5): sc-59373?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
