Syntaphilin Antibody (F-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Syntaphilin of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Syntaphilin antibody (F-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Syntaphilin plays a crucial role in regulating synaptic vesicle exocytosis by competing with SNAP 25 for binding to Syntaxin 1, a key component of the SNARE complex. By sequestering free Syntaxin 1, Syntaphilin effectively inhibits SNARE complex assembly, which is essential for neurotransmitter release at synapses. This regulatory function is vital for maintaining proper synaptic transmission and plasticity, highlighting Syntaphilin′s importance in neuronal communication and overall brain function. Syntaphilin′s ability to modulate exocytosis underscores potential implications in neurological disorders where synaptic dysfunction is a hallmark.
