SEE ALSO...

Syndecan-1 Antibody (DL-101) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Syndecan-1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and flow cytometry (FCM). Syndecan-1 (DL-101) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Syndecan-1 (SYND1), also known as CD138, is a type I integral membrane proteoglycan that plays a crucial role in cell signaling and adhesion due to its ability to interact with components of the extracellular matrix, such as collagens, fibronectin, and thrombospondin. Syndecan-1 is predominantly expressed on pre-B cells, immature B cells, and plasma cells in mice, as well as on the basolateral surfaces of epithelial cells, endothelial cells in sprouting capillaries, and embryonic condensing mesenchymal cells. Syndecan-1 presence on these cell types is vital for maintaining tissue architecture and facilitating cellular communication, as Syndecan-1 helps to anchor cells to the extracellular matrix and may influence cell migration and proliferation. Additionally, Syndecan-1 has been shown to co-localize with actin-rich filaments, suggesting Syndecan-1′s role in linking the cytoskeleton to the extracellular matrix, which is essential for maintaining cellular integrity and function.
