    SEE ALSO...

SV40 T Ag Antibody (LP7N) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects SV40 T Ag of SV40 species reactivity by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). SV40 T Ag plays a crucial role in the viral life cycle and is essential for the transformation of host cells, as SV40 T Ag interacts with key cellular proteins that regulate cell growth and division. Notably, SV40 T Ag binds to the retinoblastoma (Rb) protein, specifically targeting the "pocket" domain, which is also the binding site for the E2F transcription factor. This interaction leads to the inactivation of Rb, disrupting Rb′s ability to regulate the cell cycle and promoting uncontrolled cell proliferation. Additionally, SV40 T Ag′s ability to form complexes with other tumor suppressor proteins, such as p53, further underscores SV40 T Ag′s importance in oncogenic processes. Anti-SV40 T Ag antibody (LP7N) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying the mechanisms of viral oncogenesis and the intricate pathways involved in cellular transformation.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with SV40 T Ag (LP7N): sc-53447?

    Asked by: Germaine
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
