SV40 T Ag Antibody (Pab 101) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects SV40 T Ag of SV40 origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-SV40 T Ag antibody (Pab 101) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SV40 large T antigen plays a crucial role in the viral life cycle and is essential for the transformation of host cells, as SV40 large T antigen interacts with key cellular proteins. Notably, SV40 large T antigen binds to the retinoblastoma (Rb) tumor suppressor protein, specifically targeting the "pocket" domain, which is also the binding site for the E2F transcription factor.
