SUV3 Antibody (E-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects SUV3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SUV3 (E-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SUV3, also known as SUPV3L1 (suppressor of var1, 3-like 1), is a crucial 786 amino acid protein localized in both nucleus and mitochondrial matrix, where SUV3 plays a significant role in cellular processes. SUV3 contains one helicase C-terminal domain and one helicase ATP-binding domain, which are essential for functioning as an ATPase DNA/RNA helicase. SUV3 interacts with HBXIP and is vital for unwinding DNA/RNA and RNA/RNA duplexes, thereby facilitating DNA replication and transcriptional initiation. SUV3′s ability to maintain mitochondrial homeostasis and protect cells from apoptosis underscores SUV3′s importance in cellular health and function. SUV3 gene is located on human chromosome 10, a region that encompasses over 1,200 genes and constitutes nearly 4.5% of the human genome, highlighting SUV3′s evolutionary significance and potential implications in various biological processes.
