    SEE ALSO...

SULT6B1 Antibody (B-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SULT6B1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-SULT6B1 antibody (B-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SULT6B1, also known as sulfotransferase family, cytosolic, 6B, member 1, or thyroxine sulfotransferase, is a 303 amino acid cytoplasmic protein predominantly expressed in the kidney and testis, where SULT6B1 plays a crucial role in the metabolism of thyroxine, a key hormone in regulating metabolism, growth, and development. The specific sulfotransferase activity of SULT6B1 towards thyroxine is vital for maintaining hormonal balance and preventing potential metabolic disorders. The gene encoding SULT6B1 spans 28,779 bases and is located on human chromosome 2p22.2, which is significant as chromosome 2 is the second largest human chromosome, containing over 1,400 genes and being associated with various genetic diseases, including Harlequin ichthyosis and Alström syndrome. SULT6B1′s ability to modulate thyroxine levels underscores SULT6B1′s importance in endocrine function and highlights anti-SULT6B1 antibody (B-4)′s relevance in research and clinical applications related to thyroid hormone metabolism.
