SEE ALSO...

SULT2B1 Antibody (A-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects SULT2B1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SULT2B1 antibody (A-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SULT2B1 (A-3) antibody recognizes a protein that plays a crucial role in the sulfation of 3β-hydroxysteroids, which is essential for regulating steroid hormone activity and metabolism. SULT2B1 exists in two isoforms, SULT2B1a and SULT2B1b, generated through alternative splicing, and is particularly important in tissues such as the prostate, skin, placenta, and lung. Selective sulfation of steroids by SULT2B1 is vital for maintaining hormonal balance and influencing various physiological processes, including reproductive functions and skin health. Understanding specific interactions and functions of SULT2B1 provides insights into its role in health and disease, particularly in conditions related to steroid hormone dysregulation.
