    SEE ALSO...

SULT2A1 Antibody (E-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SULT2A1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SULT2A1 antibody (E-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SULT2A1 plays a crucial role in the sulfonation of various substrates, including procarcinogenic xenobiotics, hydroxysteroids, and bile acids, which is essential for detoxification processes in the liver and adrenal tissues. SULT2A1 is particularly important for maintaining hepatic cholesterol homeostasis, as SULT2A1 regulates the metabolism of cholesterol and steroid hormones. SULT2A1 is highly expressed in the liver and adrenal glands, where SULT2A1 contributes to the elimination of potentially harmful compounds and the regulation of steroid hormone levels. Additionally, SULT2A1 interacts with other sulfotransferases, which can influence SULT2A1′s activity and substrate specificity, highlighting the complexity of its role in metabolic pathways.
