Sulfiredoxin Antibody (H-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Sulfiredoxin of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Sulfiredoxin (H-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Sulfiredoxin, also known as Sulfiredoxin-1 or chromosome 20 open reading frame 139 (C20orf139), is a crucial cytoplasmic antioxidant protein that plays a significant role in cellular signaling by catalytically reducing oxidative modifications. Sulfiredoxin specifically reduces the sulfinic acid form of cysteine residues in PRDX1, PRDX2, PRDX3, and PRDX4 to their sulfenic acid forms, thereby enhancing their ability to participate in the reduction of downstream transcription factors and kinase signaling pathways. Sulfiredoxin does not act on PRDX5 or PRDX6, highlighting specificity in function. Sulfiredoxin shows widespread expression in various tissues, with highest levels found in the lung, spleen, kidney, and thymus, underscoring importance in maintaining cellular redox balance and protecting against oxidative damage.
