Sulf-2 Antibody (G-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Sulf-2 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Sulf-2 (G-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Sulf-2, also known as sulfatase 2 or HSULF-2, is an extracellular endosulfatase that plays a crucial role in regulating heparan sulfate proteoglycans (HSPGs) by hydrolyzing sulfate ester bonds. This enzymatic activity modulates HSPG interactions with various signaling molecules, essential for numerous biological processes, including cell growth, differentiation, and tumor progression. Sulf-2′s ability to interact with HSPGs is particularly important as these molecules are key components of cell surfaces and extracellular matrices, influencing growth factor activities and mediating cell adhesion. Additionally, HSPG regulation by Sulf-2 is implicated in tumor cell metastasis, highlighting Sulf-2′s significant role in cancer biology. Using anti-Sulf-2 antibody (G-4) in research can provide valuable insights into HSPG functional dynamics and their impact on cellular signaling pathways.

La ringraziamo per la sua domanda, la proteina umana Sulf-2 consiste in 870 amminoacidi con un peso molecolare predetto di circa 100 kDa ed un peso molecolare osservato di circa 68 kDa. La migrazione proteica nel gel può essere influenzata da diverse modificazioni post-traduzionali, così l'altezza delle bande osservate può differire da quelle predette. Doppietti o bande multiple possono evidenziarsi a seconda del materiale campione e delle condizioni di corsa utilizzate per il gel. L'immagine nel datasheet mostra segnali specifici per il materiale trasfettato, ma non è rappresentativo per la proteina endogena. The human Sulf-2 full-length protein consists of 870 amino acids with a predicted molecular weight around 100kDa and an observed molecular weight around 68 kDa in a Western Blot. The protein migration in the gel will be affected by different post-translational modifications, so that the actual band sizes observed may differ from the predicted size. Also a doublet or multiple bands might be observed occasionally depending on the Sample material and conditions used to run the actual gel. The Lane B in the Datasheet show specific signal for transfected date, but won't be representative of the endogenous protein. Please contact our technical support for further information.

I need to use an antibody to detect the protein in samples of bovine origin. Do you know if sc-271772: Sulf-2 (G-4) mouse monoclonal antibody will work?
