SUGT1 Antibody (B-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SUGT1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SUGT1 (B-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SUGT1, also known as Suppressor of G2 allele of Skp1 p19 homolog, is crucial for regulating cell cycle, particularly during G1/S and G2/M transitions, which are vital for proper cell division and function. SUGT1 is predominantly located in nucleus and cytoplasm, where SUGT1 plays a significant role in kinetochore assembly and acts as a co-chaperone for heat shock protein 90 (HSP90). SUGT1 contains several important structural features, including a CS domain, a SGS domain, a p23 domain, and three tetratricopeptide repeats (TPR), which are essential for interactions with other proteins, such as Skp1 p19 and CUL1, components of SCF (Skp1-Cullin-F-box) ubiquitin ligase complex. These interactions are critical for protein degradation processes, highlighting SUGT1′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis. An isoform known as SUGT1B exists due to alternative splicing, further emphasizing SUGT1′s complexity and regulatory potential in various biological contexts.
