    SEE ALSO...

STS-1 Antibody (E-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects STS-1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-STS-1 antibody (E-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. STS-1, also known as UBASH3B or p70, plays a crucial role in negatively regulating signaling pathways downstream of the T cell receptor, which is vital for maintaining immune system balance and preventing overactivation of T cells. STS-1 is primarily localized in the cytoplasm and nucleus, with expression levels varying across different tissues; notably, STS-1 is minimally expressed in the pancreas, ovary, and heart. Structurally, STS-1 features an N-terminal ubiquitin-associated domain, a single SH3 domain, and a C-terminal domain that resembles the catalytic domain of phosphoglycerate mutases, which contributes to phosphatase activity. STS-1 interacts with activated epidermal growth factor receptor complexes, inhibiting their endocytosis and thereby regulating receptor internalization and cellular responses to growth factors. This regulatory function underscores STS-1 ′s significance in controlling receptor tyrosine kinase endocytosis and broader implications in cellular signaling and immune response modulation.
