SEE ALSO...

STRAD Antibody (G-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects STRAD protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). STRAD (G-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. STRAD protein plays a crucial role in regulating serine/threonine kinase LKB1, which is essential for maintaining cellular energy homeostasis and tumor suppression. By facilitating LKB1 translocation from nucleus to cytoplasm, STRAD ensures proper localization for tumor suppressor functions. This interaction is particularly important in Peutz-Jeghers Syndrome, a hereditary condition linked to LKB1 gene mutations, which leads to increased risk of various cancers. STRAD′s ability to modulate LKB1 localization highlights significance in cancer biology and underscores importance of using anti-STRAD antibody (G-8) in research applications aimed at understanding these critical pathways.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-515635 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Potent and very specific antibodyThis monoclonal antibody was independently tested in-house by Kinexus Bioinformatics Corporation and validated for use for Western blotting. There was medium detection of the ~40-48 kDa target protein in mouse tissues (brain/testes/thymus/muscle mix). No major cross-reactivities were observed at 2 µg/ml antibody concentration with off-target proteins in the mouse tissues tested.
