Stat1 Antibody (ATO-4E9) is a hamster monoclonal IgG antibody that detects Stat1 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Stat1 plays a crucial role in the immune response and is a key transcription factor activated by interferons, particularly in response to viral infections. Upon activation, Stat1 forms a homodimer and translocates to the nucleus, where Stat1 binds to specific DNA sequences to regulate the expression of genes involved in antiviral defense and immune regulation. This function is vital for the host′s ability to mount an effective immune response, making Stat1 a significant player in both innate and adaptive immunity.
