SEE ALSO...

SRPK1 Antibody (EE-13) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SRPK1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SRPK1 antibody (EE-13) is available as a non-conjugated format. SRPK1 plays a crucial role in the regulation of pre-mRNA splicing, a vital process that ensures correct expression of genes by removing introns and joining exons in mRNA transcripts. This regulation is essential for maintaining cellular function and adaptability, as it allows for production of multiple protein isoforms from a single gene, thereby increasing proteome diversity. SRPK1 specifically phosphorylates arginine/serine-rich (RS) domain-containing proteins, which are integral to splicing machinery, and SRPK1 activity is tightly regulated to ensure proper splicing occurs in coordination with transcription. Notably, SRPK1 is predominantly expressed in pancreas, highlighting SRPK1′s potential role in pancreatic function and development. Anti-SRPK1 antibody (EE-13)′s ability to detect SRPK1 across various applications makes this reagent an invaluable tool for researchers studying gene expression and splicing mechanisms in human cells.

Can sc-100443: SRPK1 (EE-13) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-100443: SRPK1 (EE-13) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
