SEE ALSO...

SRPK Antibody (D-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects SRPK protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SRPK antibody (D-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for different experimental needs. SRPK protein plays a crucial role in regulating pre-mRNA splicing, a vital process for gene expression, by phosphorylating arginine/serine-rich (RS) domain-containing proteins. This phosphorylation is essential for proper functioning of splicing factors, which coordinate splicing with transcription, ensuring accurate mRNA processing before translation. SRPK1, one of the key isoforms, is specifically involved in sperm chromatin condensation, highlighting its importance in reproductive biology. SRPK2 exhibits a strong preference for SR dipeptides and features a proline-rich sequence at its amino terminus, while SRPK3 is expressed in cardiac and skeletal muscle tissues. Differential expression of these kinases in various tissues underscores their specialized functions and intricate regulatory mechanisms governing splicing in different cellular contexts.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-398432 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works goodWorks good for check protein expression levels. I used in HEK 293T cell lines with the dilution 1:250 overnight. (It is possible use more diluted (1:500) with good results too)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Potent and very specific antibodyThis monoclonal antibody was independently tested in-house by Kinexus Bioinformatics Corporation and validated for use for Western blotting. There was strong detection of the ~82 kDa target protein in a HeLa/Jurkat cell lysate mix, but the target was not detected in mouse tissues (brain/testes/thymus/muscle mix). No major cross-reactivities were observed at 2 µg/ml antibody concentration with off-target proteins in the mouse tissues tested or in the HeLa/Jurkat cell lysate mix.
