    SEE ALSO...

SRp55 Antibody (C-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects SRp55 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SRp55, a member of the serine/arginine-rich (SR) protein family, plays a pivotal role in the regulation of pre-mRNA splicing, which is essential for proper gene expression. SRp55 is primarily located in the nucleus, where SRp55 participates in the assembly of spliceosomal complexes that facilitate intron removal from pre-mRNA. Nuclear localization of SRp55 enables timely and accurate mRNA processing, ensuring only mature mRNA reaches the cytoplasm for translation. SRp55 interacts with other splicing factors, such as SRp30c and htra2beta1, to regulate specific exon splicing, including FGFR1 alpha-exon inclusion, which is vital for normal cellular function and development. SRp55′s ability to modulate splicing decisions highlights SRp55′s importance in gene expression regulation and potential implications in various diseases when splicing is disrupted.
