SRP54 Antibody (H-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SRP54 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-SRP54 antibody (H-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SRP54 plays a crucial role in the signal recognition particle (SRP) complex, which is essential for targeting nascent proteins to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) during translation. This process is vital for proper localization and processing of membrane and secreted proteins, ensuring they reach functional destinations within the cell. SRP54 interacts with both the nascent signal peptide and SRP RNA, facilitating recognition and translocation of these proteins. Additionally, SRP54′s interaction with SRP RNA is critical for assembly of the SRP complex, which includes other proteins such as SRP19, SRP68, and SRP72. Localization of SRP54 in the cytoplasm, along with nucleolar and cytoplasmic presence of other SRP proteins, underscores intricate coordination required for effective protein synthesis and targeting. Using SRP54 (H-8) monoclonal antibody in research can provide valuable insights into mechanisms of protein translocation and SRP′s role in cellular function.

Are there any issues with using sc-393855: SRP54 (H-8) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-393855 conjugates.
