    SEE ALSO...

SRP19 Antibody (G-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SRP19 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SRP19 (G-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The signal recognition particle (SRP) is a crucial ribonucleoprotein complex that plays a vital role in targeting nascent proteins to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) for proper folding and processing. The SRP consists of a unique Alu domain and an S domain, which together contain six proteins, including SRP19, SRP54, SRP68, and SRP72, along with SRP9 and SRP14. SRP19 is essential for SRP complex assembly, as SRP19 binds to free SRP RNA, facilitating the subsequent binding of SRP54, which interacts with both the nascent signal peptide and SRP RNA. This interaction is critical for proper localization of proteins destined for secretion or membrane insertion, ensuring efficient direction to the ER. SRP19, along with SRP68 and SRP72, is localized in the nucleolus and cytoplasm, highlighting the nucleolus as a key site for assembly and interaction of ribonucleoproteins involved in protein synthesis. SRP19′s importance in this process underscores its potential as a target for research into protein targeting mechanisms and related cellular functions.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-393775 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
